Experience one of South Africa’s greatest attractions, the Kruger National Park, and the scenic and interesting surrounds of Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces. This tour takes you on the Panorama Route through the Eastern Escarpment with its spectacular topography. You will enjoy Big 5 game-viewing before returning to Johannesburg.
Tour Itinerary
Depart Johannesburg after breakfast and travel to Mpumalanga Province, known as “Paradise Country”. We’ll drive along the spectacular “Panorama Route”, offering views of amazing scenery including the 26 kilometre-long Blyde River Canyon and historic God’s Window, a breathtaking view (weather permitting) of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park. Continue to an area near Hazyview for your overnight stay. [D]
Enjoy an early morning breakfast, thereafter we drive to the African Silk Farms for a guided tour on where our proudly South African silks are made. After the silk farm, we travel to the Shangana Cultural Village for a cultural lunch as well as some native dancing. We then travel back to our accommodation in the Kruger National Park, for an afternoon of leisure. Enjoy a sunset open vehicle game drive. Kruger is one of the world’s greatest national parks, home to a stunning array of wildlife. Search for the ‘Big Five’ (Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, and Elephant) as well as prolific birdlife and numerous other game. Overnight in the Kruger Park.[B,L]
The day begins with early morning coffee or tea, followed by a thrilling open vehicle game drive through Kruger National Park with pre-packed breakfast. After our game driver, check out of our hotel and we travel to Swaziland, an independent Kingdom within the borders of South Africa, known for its lovely scenery, crafts and colourful indigenous culture. Visit the Ngwenya glass factory, where visitors can watch talented glass blowers create a range of enchanting African animals, birds and fish, as well as tableware, made from 100% recycled glass that is collected by the children of Swaziland. In the afternoon the opportunity exists for a complimentary (optional) excursion to a Swazi candle factory, where visitors can watch Swazi wax artists make beautiful candles. Overnight in Swaziland. After breakfast you will continue south through Swaziland, visiting the National Museum and Botanical Gardens with a visit to the Swazi Cultural Village for an introduction to their way of life. We transfer you back to your accommodation after lunch for an afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Swaziland. [B,D]
We depart after breakfast for Johannesburg as our tour comes to an end. Please ensure that you book your international flight to depart Johannesburg in the evening as you will only arrive after 17h00. (B,L)
