Tour Itinerary
Day One - Departing Cape Town
Travel Route 62 via Montagu and the “Klein Karoo” (incl. a wine tasting en route) to Barrydale, where you’ll have an opportunity to visit a local farm school and interact with the children and teachers.
Continue on to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of the world. Visit an Ostrich Show Farm (guided). Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [D]
After breakfast tour the vast limestone caverns of the Cango Caves. Travel over Outeniqua Pass to George, the sixth oldest town in South Africa. Continue to quaint Knysna, travelling via Victoria Bay, a beautiful cove enclosed by cliff s, and Wilderness, an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches. Overnight in Knysna. [B]
Leisurely start before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve. Take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon before returning for lunch under the milkwood trees (included). Afternoon at leisure to explore the town. Overnight in Knysna. [BL]
After breakfast you will be transferred (unescorted, driver only) eastward along the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth, where tour ends on arrival. [B] Guests may disembark, on request, at Port Elizabeth Airport.
