After being picked up from your hotel, you will be transferred to Table Mountain. Discover the magic of this mountain with a hike alongside experienced nature guides who will interpret the wonders of the Cape Floral Kingdom and regale visitors with stories of local legends.
At just over a modest 1000m, Table Mountain still ranks in status alongside famous African giants. For the more energetic, combine this physical challenge with an insight into the ecology. Skeleton Gorge along the top of the Table Mountain Plateau rates as one of the most popular routes.
Start hiking in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, renowned for its indigenous plants. The climb up Skeleton Gorge is equipped with ladders to aid hikers over the slippery rocks.
Keep an eye out for the elusive endangered ghost frog as we ascend through the dense indigenous forests. The forest gradually gives way to the shrubby Fynbos. We reach the highest point on Table Mountain, Maclear's Beacon, at 1085m.
A pleasant walk across the flat-topped Table Plateau overlooks the city. Descend Platteklip Gorge, or take a ride down the cableway if your legs are weary.
At the end of the hike, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
