Orlando Towers is the only 100m Urban Bungee Jump in South Africa. Situated just outside Johannesburg, in the historical township of Soweto.
The facility has been built on the site of the old Orlando Power Station which was decommissioned in 1998 after 56 years of operation (more than double its original design life) where the two iconic colourfully painted cooling towers offer the ideal means of getting on top of things 100m above the rat race.
A suspension bridge has been constructed between the cooling towers from which we run a Bungee Jump offering the rush of a lifetime. The external swing operates from a platform fixed to the external rim of the cooling tower which will give you a good 40m of free fall guaranteed to blow the most hardened adrenalin junkie's hair back.
The internal swing operates from the tail end of the suspension bridge into the throat of the cooling tower and is not for the fainthearted. For those less focused on adrenalin we offer a lift ride to the top for a view over Soweto from the highest point for miles around.
The site is open Friday to Sunday from 10:00 till late.
Chaf-Pozi, an upmarket Soweto themed "Shisa Nyama" restaurant has now been opened on site so you can have a drink to steady your nerves after your jump and enjoy some high quality traditional food with all the trimmings.
