Depart Johannesburg
Depart on a half-day morning Soweto Tour, which includes a fascinating glimpse of neighborhood life. Drive past two Nobel Prize winners' previous residences; Hector Peterson Memorial, Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital (the largest hospital in Africa), and various community-development projects.
Day One: Arrival - Lesedi Cultural Village
Transfer to and overnight at Lesedi Cultural Village. [D]
Day Two: Village Tour
After breakfast departs for a tour of the Origins Centre. Discover human origin in Africa, the creation of tools, language, art, and spirituality. Holograms, virtual visual shows, and basic DNA tests on the touch screen. Then visit Maropeng at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. Late afternoon transfer to Johannesburg. [B]
